You may have a Fibroid in your body that is causing you uterine fibroids symptoms. You might mistake them for normal aches and pains. Before you dismiss signals that your body is sending you. You should learn what the signals are to check with your doctor and get treatment.

As women get older their metabolisms slow down and they gain weight. However, if you have A Fibroid you may be carrying additional pounds on your frame that are from an abnormal fibroid tumor. If you have additional weight in your waist line an exercise does not seem to reduce it check with your gynecologist.

Many women have heavy periods. But if it seems that your period lasts longer than normal and you need to purchase heavier protection this may be a signal for a tumor. Any large blood clots that you pass can be from a large tumor mass growing in your Uterus.

Due to the increased blood loss, women may now be anemic. Sometimes this can appear in a low iron count or decreased red blood cell formation. The tumors that are growing need nutrients and vitamins which they can take away from your other organs. Women may show this need for iron by eating ice and peppermints. This ice will signify the body’s need to try and replenish the iron it needs. While the peppermint provides energy in the form of sugar, it can also block iron absorption.

Other nasty signs of a fibroid are bloating, gas, and constipation. As the tumor grows it can press on other vital organs. This can block your body from digesting food and eliminating it as well. Over the counter medications might provide a temporary fix, but eventually may stop working at all.

Pain may accompany the benign tumors that women have. This can be from their monthly periods, and also back pain. This is due to the size of the tumor that is pressing on vital organs. It is also due to an excessive amount of estrogen in the body which creates a larger uterine lining and allows the tumors to grow.

Infertility can be the culprit of a fibroid tumor. For women that want to have children this can be heart breaking. If the tumor is in the midsection of the uterus it can prevent an ovum from implanting. If there are multiple tumors it can make the woman miscarry. Surgery can help to remove the tumors.

Uterine fibroids symptoms should be noted for those that are trying to become pregnant as a reason for their infertility. Other subtle signs of poor health may also be attributed to a growing fibroid. It is important to seek the help of a medical professional if you experience any signs of weight gain, increase monthly blood flow, PMS pain, constipation, gas, bloating, and anemia.
